Gino Leblanc

Business Representative

Gino was born in New Richmond, Quebec. He moved to Terrace Bay in 1980 and has been working at the Terrace Bay pulp mill ever since. During his 28 years at the mill, he has held many management positions with the latest being Maintenance Manager. In his latest role, Gino has supported Multi Trade placements with Confederation College and also co-op placements with the local high school. Gino has also been a supporter of an apprenticeship program at the Terrace Bay mill.

At the last municipal election, Gino ran successfully to become a Town Councillor. He ran hoping to assist in making Terrace Bay a better place to live and to make Terrace Bay a community people would want to visit and, hopefully, move to. Following are some of Gino’s responsibilities as Town Councillor: Vice Chair of the Protective Services – Fire, Council rep on the Police Services Board, Chair of Public Works, member of Thunder Bay Municipal League, Terrace Bay Ski Hill Board member, Children’s Coalition member, Handi Transit Committee, and member of the Landfill Site Committee.

Gino and Bonnie are raising a blended family of 7 children from the ages of 16 to 23 (two sets of twins!).
