Thérèse Dechêne

Thérèse Dechêne has been living in Thunder Bay since 1989, but was born in Québec City. She has been working in education for the last 19 years; 15 years as a teacher at the elementary, senior elementary and high school panels. She has been working at the board level for the last four years as a Curriculum and Programs Principal. She is the Student Success Leader for the board.

Thérèse holds a Bachelor of Physical Education degree, principal's qualifications, and Guidance and Co-op Education specializations, as well as an Outdoor Recreation diploma. She is also a member of the Passport to Prosperity Steering Committee, and has worked for an outdoor recreation centre, for the Canadian Coast Guard (Search and Rescue) and at various sports centres as a fitness instructor and swimming coach.
