Research & Data Analyst
We are seeking a Research & Data Analyst with knowledge in marketing and multimedia to join our team. This role involves conducting in-depth research, analyzing data trends, and transforming insights into compelling reports and visual content. You will play a key role in shaping data-driven strategies, supporting decision-making, and enhancing our outreach through multimedia and marketing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct research and analyze industry trends, workforce development, and market conditions. Gather, clean, and interpret data to generate insights and create reports, presentations, and visual content. Collaborate with marketing to develop data-driven campaigns, social media content, and multimedia assets. Support strategic recommendations and evaluate marketing performance using analytics tools while staying updated on industry best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Data Science, Marketing, Business Analytics, Communications, or a related field. Proficiency in data analysis (Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI), marketing analytics (SEO, campaign tracking), and multimedia tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, video editing). Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Eligibility Requirements
Must be a new entrant into the workforce, transitioning to a new career, or an unemployed or underemployed individual entering a new field. Must not have previously participated in an NOHFC-funded internship under the 2020 Mandate. Must be 18 years of age or older. Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. Must reside in Thunder Bay and work from the Thunder Bay office.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in labor market research, economic analysis, or workforce development. Knowledge of social media analytics, email marketing platforms, and web analytics tools (Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, etc.). Previous experience in content creation, graphic design, or video production. Ability to speak in French would be an asset.
