Mechanical draftspeople draw plans for industrial machines, machine parts, engines, tools, and other mechanical equipment. They develop and prepare engineering drawings from preliminary concepts, sketches, calculations, specification sheets, and other data. They use computer-aided design and graphics drafting stations to complete their plans.
