The Local Board program develops and improves resources at the local level to respond to labour force related issues.
Each region is unique
North Superior Workforce Planning Board (NSWPB) is part of a network of 26 local workforce planning boards throughout the province of Ontario.
As the Local Board for the Thunder Bay District, NSWPB identifies challenges and opportunities that may exist in the labour market throughout our communities in order to develop tailored responses to work towards improving workforce development.
Each perspective is valuable
Northwestern Ontario is diverse and faces unique challenges in relation to the rest of the province.
The Local Board engages and collaborates with a network of community partners throughout the region to identify and address challenges and opportunities faced by the region. The Local Board strives to act as a voice for the region to inform policies, programs, services and fiscal allocations.
